The address of the Ellettsville site is 6200 N. Matthews Dr. Ellettsville, IN 47429. From State Road 46 West in downtown Ellettsville, go north on Matthews Drive just one block west of the Sale Street stoplight. The site is located approximately 1/2 mile north on Matthews Drive.

Be sure to check what recyclable materials are accepted at the rural recycling & solid waste centers. Non-recyclable items must be dropped off in orange bags.

SERVICES! Other recycling options at the Ellettsville Station include waste motor oil, antifreeze and oil filter recycling and household battery recycling.

Trading Posts at the Rural Recycling and Solid Waste Stations:

The Trading Posts are available to all residents of Monroe County. They are designed to take and leave usable household items. We ask that residents follow some rules of courtesy as the program is designed for all to share. We also ask that residents who take items do not use them for resale purposes. Please only shop once a week and limit the numbers of items that you take in one trip.

Accepted items: kitchenware, tools, gardening supplies, clean usable clothing, books, magazines, etc. Large items are sometimes accepted, please ask for assistance or call ahead, 349-2020.

Non-Accepted items: no Freon appliances, hazardous materials, large bulky items, mattresses, toilets, construction materials, doors, windows, etc. No televisions, computers, large electronic devices, non-working items, paint, underwear, tires, or trash.
